KATHMANDU, March 31: After the promotion of three Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) to Additional Inspector Generals (AIGs), two DIGs have gone to the Supreme Court (SC) against the decision.
DIGs Ghanshyam Aryal and Prakash Jung Karki have knocked on the SC’s doors on Thursday, in order to file a writ petition against the Cabinet decision. According to the apex court administration, the writ petition has not been registered yet.
A Cabinet meeting held on Thursday morning decided to promote DIGs Basanta Kumar Pant, Dhiraj Pratap Singh and Rabindra Bahadur Dhanuk to the post of AIG.
