ILAM, Dec 1: Two people died and two others sustained injuries in a road accident in Ilam district on Monday evening.

The incident took place when a jeep en route to Damak, Jhapa from Ranke Bazar of Ilam met with an accident at at Lumde of Phakphokthum Rural Municipality in Ilam district.

One of the deceased has been identified as Dinesh Limbu from Mai Municipality-9 while the identity of another victim is yet to be established.

Local police officer Nabinraj Rai informed that two others- Sachin Rai and Bikash Tamang- were also injured in the jeep accident. They have been taken to Ilam Hospital for the treatment.
