Two die on spot in Parsa road mishap

PARSA, April 30: Two persons were killed in a road accident at Pokhariya municipality of Parsa district early this morning. 


The identities of the deceased have not been ascertained yet, said Deputy Superintendent of Police of Parsa, Rajan Limbu. 

The accident took place when a motorcycle without a number plate on which four persons were travelling collided with a trailer of a tractor (Na 4 Ta 1607) parked near Krishna Oil Store at Pokhariya municipality-4. 

Of them, two were killed on the spot while the remaining two are in critical condition.

The injured—Rambabu Mukhiya of Jira Bhawani rural municipality is receiving treatment at Birgunj-based Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital while Dhanlal Mukhiya of the same place was undergoing treatment at Birgunj-based National Medical Teaching Hospital, added Limbu. 


The bodies have been kept at Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital for post-mortem. According to preliminary report, the accident might have taken place as the motorcyclist who had consumed alcohol lost control of the vehicle, said police.
