Pedestrian Gyan Bahadur Karki sustained injuries when a bus (Ko 1 Kha 1083) heading to Kakarbhitta from Biratnagar hit him on Sunday afternoon while he was crossing the road, said police.
Karki died on the way to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, for treatment.
Khanar Area Police Office said the bus driver and the bus are under police control.
Similarly, a man died when a motorbike (Ko 2 Pa 6809) he was riding collided with a tractor (Ko1 Ta 4735) in Hansposa of Sunsari district.
The deceased has been identified as motorcyclist Durga Prasad Dahal. He died on the spot. Police have taken the tractor and the driver under control.
