MORANG, June 15: Two people died in separate road accidents in Kanepokhari and Rangeli in Morang.
According to Morang police, police assistant sub-inspector Jitendra Chaudhary, 31, died in a motorcycle accident at the diversion near Dans Khola Bridge in Kanepokhari Rural Municipality-7 on the East-West Highway.
On Saturday night around 8 PM, Chaudhary was riding a motorcycle (Pra 1-02-04-371) with his wife and son from Pathari to Kanepokhari when he lost control at the diversion and crashed, said Mohan Bikram Dahal, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Pathari Police Office.

Chaudhary, who was seriously injured in the accident, died while receiving treatment at Madan Bhandari Hospital and Trauma Center in Urlabari, police said.
Chaudhary, a resident of Belbari Municipality-4, was serving at Jamuna Police Post in Ilam. His wife, 26-year-old police constable Bimala Dhimal Chaudhary, who also works at Jamuna Police Post, and their two-year-old son, Jeshan Chaudhary, were seriously injured and admitted to Nobel Medical College in Biratnagar for treatment.
Similarly, on the Hulaki Highway in Rangeli Municipality-7, a pickup truck carrying broiler chicken feed (KO 2 CH 1300) traveling from Biratnagar to Amabari crashed into a road divider, killing the driver. The driver, 45-year-old Chetraj Khanal from Biratnagar-8, died on the spot, police said.
Three passengers in the pickup, Ram Rajvanshi,23; Chhatra Parajuli,21 and Dipesh Paudel,32, were reported to be in stable condition.
