POKHARA/CHITWAN, Oct 14: A man from Chitwan and a woman from Pokhara died of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Wednesday.
The 90-year-old man from Bharatpur Metropolitan City-9 who earlier tested positive for the virus died at his home at 9:30 AM today. According to the District Police Office Chitwan, the nonagenarian tested positive for the virus on September 28. Since then, he was staying isolated in his home.
Likewise, a COVID-19 infected woman died in Pokhara earlier today. The 52-year-old woman from Bhirkot Municipality-2 in Syangja district died at the COVID-19 treatment centre at Western Regional Hospital under the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS), said PAHS director Dr Arjun Acharya.
The woman, who was admitted to the centre on October 12, was undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital. As of today, the hospital recorded 13 coronavirus-related deaths
