Two bodies identified as postmortem continues

KATHMANDU, Feb 28: Two mortal remains among those killed in Air Dynasty chopper crash have been identified in the course of postmortem at TU Teaching Hospital. They are Tourism Minister Rabindra Adhikari and his bodyguard Arjun Ghimire.

KATHMANDU, Feb 28: Two mortal remains among those killed in Air Dynasty chopper crash have been identified in the course of postmortem at TU Teaching Hospital. They are Tourism Minister Rabindra Adhikari and his bodyguard Arjun Ghimire.


The identification of the other bodies is underway. Medical persons are conducting post mortem on the other bodies, police said.

It has been difficult to identify the bodies as they are charred beyond recognition.


Seven people including Tourism Minister Rabindra Adhikari had died in a chopper crash near Pathibhara in Taplejung district while they were flying back to Kathmandu after offering pooja at the temple on Wednesday afternoon.


Birendra Shrestha, Deputy Director General at Civil Aviation Authority Nepal (CAAN), under-secretary Yubaraj Dahal, Chairman of Yeti Airlines Ang Chhirng Sherpa, Regional Director of CAAN Dhruba Das Bhochhibhoya and pilot Prabhakar KC and bodyguard of Minister Adhikari Arjun Ghimire died in the crash.
