KATHMANDU, July 25: A postmortem work of the 18 people who lost their lives in the Saurya Airlines plane accident on Wednesday is currently ongoing.
The postmortem of the deceased was begun on Wednesday evening at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) and the postmortem of seven dead bodies have been completed, as reported by the TUTH.

According to the TUTH, the dead bodies will be handed over to the families after the postmortem of all bodies is completed by this evening. However, there is a delay in the postmortem process due to excessive burns on the victims’ bodies. The TUTH reported that it has been taking at least four hours to complete the postmortem of one body.
A plane of Saurya Airlines met with an accident during take-off from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to Pokhara at 11:11 AM on Wednesday.
As many as 18 victims including a Yemeni national died in the plane accident, while Captain Manish Ratna Shakya was successfully rescued in a critical condition. Shakay is currently undergoing treatment at Kathmandu Medical Hospital (KMC), Sinamangal.
