The deceased have been identified as Yamlal Sapkota, 35, of Arunkhola and Surya Prasad Pandey, 36, of Pasauni-9 of Nawalparasi district.[break]
Sapkota, who was riding pillion on Pandey’s two-wheeler, died on the spot while Pandey breathed his last during the course of treatment at Gajuri Hospital.
According to Area Police Office, Gajuri, the incident took place as the truck (Na 4 Kha 4222) heading to Kathmandu from Chitwan hit the ill-fated bike (Ba 39 Pa 2887) coming from the opposite direction.
Both the bodies have been kept at Gajuri-based Gajuri Primary Health Center for postmortem.
Police have also impounded the truck. Further investigation onto the case is on.
