Tuborg to organize live music concerts across six cities

KATHMANDU, July 29: Finally, a treat to Nepali music fans – Tuborg, the Danish beer brand is organizing free music concerts across six cities of Nepal, with seven high profile Nepali music artists performing.



Speaking post the press conference that was held in Himalayan Hotel, Kupandole on Sunday, Marketing Director of Gorkha Brewery, Paul Olivier Claudepierre said, “Tuborg has always had a great association with music and therefore, we have series of concerts organized world wide. Reviewing such musical passion in Nepali audiences as well, we have decided to organize a grand music concert for Nepalis.” [break]



The event is scheduled to take place on August 10 in Nepalgunj, August 17 in Butwal, August 30 in Narayanghat, September 14 in Dharan, September 21 in Pokhara and October 5 in Kathmandu. The performers for the grand concert are 1974 AD, Mukti & Revival, Robin & the New Revolution, Abhaya & the Steam Injuns, Sabin Rai & Elektrix, Nima Rumba & The Legend Band, and The Shadows.

This concert titled as ‘Let’s get loud’ is set to be conducted in three phases, taking altogether two months for execution. In the first phase, Tuborg Musical Trucks will be touring the nearby cities and districts, where the local music artists along with few national artists will be grooving the audiences on their live music. The songs of the main artists performing on the final concert will also be played.



Speaking about the involvement of local artists in the initial phase of the concert series, Saurav Karanjit, the Brand Marketing Manager of Tuborg said, “Tuborg is providing this platform so that the local talents can be promoted. We always have the motto of making music large, and such inclusive provision will definitely promote Nepali music.”



Similarly, in the second phase, Tuborg buses will be travelling to the nearby towns of the main city, but this time the audience too will be given the opportunity to perform as a part of the ‘Let’s Get Loud’ concert.



Finally, the third phase will witness the grand concert, where veteran Nepal artists will be performing. This event will have various stalls with attractive offerings of face painting, sale of limited edition t-shirts and concert accessories, and food stalls. Overall, the organizers are confident that the audience will cherish this event as one of the grandest music carnivals held in Nepal.
