KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Gorkha Brewery has said that it has introduced 'Tuborg Classic' -- Nepal's first premium strong beer with Scotch Malts -- amidst a event held at Hotel Siddhartha Cottage, Nepalgunj. 

Issuing a statement, the company said that the event held on Wednesday was attended by partners, dealers, wholesalers, retailers of Gorkha Brewery, members of the media fraternity and celebrities, among others. 

“In our quest to bring about amazing world-class choices to our consumers, we have created a unique recipe in collaboration with our colleagues in the Carlsberg Group, which caters specifically to the elegant choice of Nepalese consumers,” said Arun Adhikary, managing director of Gorkha Brewery said in the event, according to the statement. “We are delighted to introduce Tuborg Classic -- Nepal's first premium strong beer with Scotch Malts." 

According to the company, a 650 ml bottle of Tuborg Classic with Scotch Malts has 6.5 percent alcohol content and is priced at Rs 310.
