KATHMANDU, July 8: Gorkha Brewery on Friday said that it has launched 'Tuborg Classic' -- Nepal's first premium strong beer with Scotch Malts -- amidst a function held at Hotel Central Palm, Narayanghat. Issuing a statement, Gorkha Brewery said that Tuborg was introduced in Nepal by Gorkha Brewery Pvt Ltd in 1990 and that it is the first international brand to be launched here. The statement further added that the 'Stronger & Smoother' tagline of Tuborg Classic conveys that it was a refreshing drinking experience to beer connoisseurs. Tuborg Classic contains imported Scotch Malts for a stronger and smoother taste, it said. According to Gorkha Brewery, a 650 ml bottle of Tuborg Classic with Scotch Malts has 6.5 percent alcohol content. The bottle is available at Rs 310.
