As per the MoU, the TU and the Macquarie University will institute system to facilitate exchange of students, officials, academic materials and information. The two universities will also conduct joint research activities and organize seminars, conferences, lectures series and academic meetings in the years to come."This MoU will initiate the beginning of a deep and meaningful engagement in Nepal," read a statement from the Macquarie University.
The university also expressed that the tie-up will pave the way for a mutually beneficial outcomes in the higher education sector of the two countries.
The TU Rector Gunanidhi Nyaupane and Macquarie University Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof James KW Lee signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions. Likewise, Bal Mukunda Bhandari, executive director of Center for International Relations of Tribhuvan University and Tanveer Shaheed, senior country manager of Macquarie University, exchanged the MoU at the TU premises.
