TU forms three-member high-level committee to probe into missing answer sheets

KATHMANDU, March 29: The Tribhuvan University (TU) has formed a three-member high-level committee to probe into the missing answer sheets for two subjects of the bachelor's degree.


As decided by the TU Executive Council meeting on Thursday, the committee has been formed under the leadership of former TU Registrar Prof Dr Chandra Mani Poudel. The committee has been given a 30-day deadline to submit its report.

In a press statement released on Thursday, TU announced that further decisions regarding the missing answer sheets would be made based on the committee's report.


The missing answer sheets belong to Population Studies (code number 422) under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Basics of Education (Code No. 412) under the Faculty of Education for the B.Ed. First Year examinations conducted in May 2023.


The TU has issued a notice to conduct the examinations for the two subjects on April 1. 


The TU has said that its serious attention was drawn to the news and editorial carried out by different media outlets by expressing concerns on the issue of missing answer sheets.
