KATHMANDU, NOV 6: Tribhuvan University (TU) has announced a mourning holiday today. 


Publishing a notice on Tuesday, TU stated that Wednesday would be a day of mourning in honor of Chaitanya Sharma, former chairperson of the TU Service Commission, who passed away on November 1.

The notice states that all TU offices, including the central office, will remain closed in mourning.


The TU executive council held on March 17, 2016, decided to declare a mourn holiday upon the passing of its current and former office-bearers.
