Truck carrying edible oil falls off the road in Dhading

KATHMANDU, August 28: A cargo truck carrying edible oil met with an accident in Gajuri Rural Municipality-6, Jarekhet of Dhading under Prithviraj Highway on Sunday morning.

KATHMANDU, August 28: A cargo truck carrying edible oil met with an accident in Gajuri Rural Municipality-6, Jarekhet of Dhading under Prithviraj Highway on Sunday morning. 


The truck with the registration number Na 5 Kha 5955 fell 200 meters off the road on the bank of Trishuli River.

DSP Bhavesh Rimal at Area Police Office, Gajuri said that the truck carrying cooking oil from Biratnagar to Kathmandu suddenly caught fire and fell off the road on the bank of Trishuli River. The front part of the truck had caught fire.


A team of police including DSP from the local police office Gajuri and the Armed Police Force personnel from Adamghat took the fire under control. 


DSP Rimal said that since the police and locals were able to rescue in time, there were no human casualties in the accident. He said that even though the truck carrying oil caught fire, the fire was brought under control in time and further damage was avoided.
