Truck driver Surendra Ghimire, 30, died when the truck (Na.3 Kha. 691) en route to Narayangarh from Kathmandu fell into the Trishuli River, informed Area Police Office, Mugling.[break]
Assistant Suman Lama of Manahari of Makawanpur sustained injuries in the incident. He is undergoing treatment in local Pokly Clinic.
Meanwhile, in Taplejung, Narayan Acharya, a local of Latikoili, Surkhet, who went missing since the past one and half month has been found dead.
His dead body was found in Namba stream of Hangdeva VDC-9 on the search campaign of Acharya led by Taplejung Red Cross., Chairperson of Red Cross Ganesh Adhikari.
The stream is in one-and-half hour walking distance from district headquarters. Acharya had gone missing from Haddewa VDC while he was returning home from Phurambu VDC after selling off carpet.
Earlier, family of Acharya, police, human rights defenders, journalists, including other organizations had also searched for missing Acharya but his whereabouts was not found.
Acharya, who has been sustaining his livelihood by selling off carpet, is survived by two sons and wife.
