KATHMANDU, April 14: One child died and eight people sustained injuries in a mini-truck accident in Nilkantha Municipality-5, Daune, Dhading, today.
The truck (Ba 3 Kha 8947) which was going to a field with fertilizer from Pateni, met with the accident. Among the injured, five are children.

The injured were rescued by Nepal Police, traffic police and locals from the incident site and sent to the hospital. Police said that the condition of three of the injured is critical. According to local eyewitnesses, the accident occurred due to brake failure on the downhill road.
