“The statue of King Tribhuvan will be kept at the Narayanhiti Palace Museum,” government Spokesperson Narayankaji Shrestha told media persons after the cabinet meeting. “It is appropriate to keep the statues of martyrs only as the place is named Shahid (martyr) Gate.”
The Shahid Gate has a statue of King Tribhuvan above the statues of four martyrs -- Shukraraj Shastri, Dasharath Chand, Dharma Bhakta Mathema and Gangalal Shrestha.

The cabinet meeting also appointed Ram Kumar Yadav as the acting general manager of Nepal Drinking Water Corporation.
Similarly, the government decided to hold a two-day international conference of mountainous countries on climate change from April 5. The cabinet has formed a 12-member directives committee headed by the environment minister.
