DOLAKHA, Oct 30: The CPN-Maoist has closed roadways in four districts including Dolakha on Wednesday, targeting the scheduled election campaigning of the UCPN (Maoist).

Chairman of the UCPN (Maoist), Pushpa Kamal Dahal, is scheduled to address election assemblies to be organized at Anekot of Kavrepalanchowk and Dolakha district headquarters, Charikot.[break]

The CPN-Maoist closed roadways in the four districts—Dolakha, Kavre, Ramechhap and Sindhupalchowk to foil the programs but its effect is normal, said police.

They obstructed the traffic by placing trees at Khawa and Tamakoshi of Jiri VDC and Charange of Bhimeshwor Municipality but traffic has been resumed from morning by removing the trees.

Meanwhile, a team of the Nepal Army has defused a bomb found at Charange this morning.

Chief District Officer, Pralhad Pokhrel said that no one is allowed to organize bandas, obstructions and other violent activities at a time when the election code of conduct has been already issued and strong action against those involved in such activities would be taken.
