KATHMANDU, Sept 8: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has formed a ‘Tourism Revival Taskforce’ to revitalize the tourism industry that is hard-hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to NTB, the taskforce has been formed in a public private partnership (PPP) model with representatives coming from the government, NTB and private sector. The taskforce aims at bringing all organizations working in the tourism industry together and strives for the revival of the industry at the earliest. “The taskforce will work for the survival and revival of the tourism industry that has been hit hard by global pandemic COVID-19 since early 2020,” according to NTB.

The taskforce has been asked to study international practices, strategize and draw out suggestions for the revival of the industry. The taskforce will come out with plans to operate tourism activities with safety measures ensuring safety of those involved in the industry and service seekers.
