Tourism Minister Amatya resigns

KATHMANDU, May 22: Minister  for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Deepak Chandra Amatya Thursday resigned from his post.

Confirming the news, CPN-UML Deputy General Secretary Ghanashyam Bhusal told Republica that Amatya had resigned late on Thursday evening. Details on the reasons behind the resignation have not been made public.


Amatya, who is a member of the CPN-UML, had replaced then tourism minister Bhim Acharya -- who is the party secretary of CPN-UML -- in September 2014.
