Tourism Cup Golf from Monday

KATHMANDU, Sept 25: Nepal Golf Association (NGA) in collaboration with Nepal Tourism Board is organizing Nepal Tourism Cup Golf tournament from Monday. The launch of the event marks the Tourism Day.

The NGA said although it plans to organize the competition every year, it could not organize the competition last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “It was not possible to bring in foreign players due to COVID-19 pandemic. They won’t be here this year as well,” said Tashi Ghale, President of the NGA.

The stroke play will be held between the best players of five different golf clubs in the first two days of the competition. This will be held at Gokarna Golf Course till Wednesday.

The best two players from Gokarna Club, Royal Nepal Golf Club, Himalayan Golf Club, Tribhuvan Army Golf Club and Dharan Golf Club will be competing in the event. On the last day of the competition on Wednesday, more than 80 players from corporate and foreign missions in Nepal are expected to take part in the competition.
