KATHMANDU, Aug 31: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has asked Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) to prepare infrastructures to accommodate at least 500,000 tourists around the Kathmandu valley.
KATHMANDU, May 21: In a bid to compensate the losses incurred by the country’s tourism industry due to COVID-19, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has recommended to the government to make a policy level intervention. To make up for the losses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, NTB has asked the government to shift its focus on domestic tourism by introducing Leave Travel Concession (LTC), under which companies provide travel leave to their employees.

KATHMANDU, Sept 20: The number of Chinese tourists visiting Nepal in August increased by a massive 63.9 percent year-on-year to 12,048. Officials of Nepal Tourism Board have attributed this rise in tourists arrivals from the northern neighbor to Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli's China visit in mid-June.
After completing a year of study in France, I came back to Nepal recently. The journey was costly and I had to face a lot of hassles at the airport. If Nepal had a direct flight from and to Paris or any other city of Europe, the journey would be much shorter and less costly. We are facing a lot of problems in lack of direct flights to and from many countries. It has directly impacted our tourism.
