At the launching ceremony and Nepal Dealers Meet in the capital, Nepal Trade Network -- sole authorized distributor of Titan watches for Nepal -- launched 70 new models of watches under 7 categories on Saturday. [break]
The company launched watches under categories such as Raga, Purple, Phulkari Embroidery, Zardozi, Kalamkari, Diva Aqua and Fast Track.
Inspired by traditional Indian art forms in textiles such as Kalamkari, Zardozi, Phulkari and Benarasi arts, the new collections have been crafted to suit the taste of contemporary women. According to the company, the new collections are offered in multiple colors, in leather, metal, gold, rose gold and steel. Fast Track watches are specially targeted for youngsters and are very trendy.
Sunil Kumar Agrawal, managing director of the company, informed Titan watches are available in the Nepali market in the range of Rs 1,700 to Rs 33,000. “With the introduction of new varieties, currently more than 900 varieties are available in Nepal,” said Agrawal.
“In every 3 seconds, Titan watches are being sold somewhere in the world. This clearly establishes that Titan watches are among the highly preferred brands in the world,” said Jay Shankar Menon, head of sales for South East Asia and SAARC countries.
During the ceremony, Titan awarded its dealers under 5 categories in which the largest retailer award was received by Sharma Impex, Kathmandu.
Titan Industries, which generated US$ 1.4 billion revenue in 2010/11, is the 5th largest integrated watch manufacturer in the world which manufactures more than 13 million watches every year and has a customer base of over 100 million in 27 countries.
According to Menon, Titan has over 7,000 stores around the globe and the company has received ISO certifications for quality and environment management systems.
