During a meeting with party’s activists in Bharatpur on Wednesday morning, Pandey said promulgation of the constitution within May 28 is not possible, as parties are yet to reach a consensus on many issues.
Responding to a query about the possibility of military rule if the constitution was not drafted within the deadline, he said there was no possibility of such situation and urged the party activists not to believe on such matters.
The government is committed to issue the ‘pro-people’ constitution even by extending the tenure of CA by more six months , he said, adding, a separate commission should be formed to look after the task of state restructuring.
He said the party would not quit the government following the demand of the Maoists and challenged them to form a new government through a legal process.
