KATHMANDU, May 10: Timecard system will be enforced in the Valley from today.
A meeting of three Chief District Officers of the districts in the Valley, Deputy General Inspectors of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force and Metropolitan Traffic Police Division decided to this effect. As per the new rule, the vehicles are allowed to operate only during the stipulated time.
The vehicles of the government bodies shall operate between 9:30 to 10 in the morning to go to offices and can run between 5 to 6 PM to return home. Vehicles belonging to the banks and financial institutions, on the other hand, are allowed to operate from 9:30 to 10 AM and also between 3:30 to 5 PM.
Timecard rule requires the vehicles supplying grocery items, foodstuff and other emergency items to be operated only before 10 AM.
If one has to go out for an emergency, s/he has to inform the police.
