DAMAULI, Oct 26: A park has been constructed in the Barahi community forest at Myagde Rural Municipality-1 of Tanahun district. Named as Tiger Hill Park, it was constructed with the support of the Division Forest Office and the management of the community forest.
Chair of the community forest Muktinath Khanal said the park is constructed with the objective of attracting domestic and foreign tourists. The park is at a distance of 200 metres northwards from the Prithvi Highway. A tiger statue is also installed inside the park. Steps have been constructed on the path leading to the park.

Khanal said there is possibility of operating rock climbing, eco-trekking, rock gardening, view tower, bird watching and hiking inside the tourism park. "There are attractive rock structures of different shapes, a glass-house on a tree and a round resting place for the visitors. We have paid attention to publicity for developing it into a tourism destination," he added.
Assistant Forest Officer Kashi Raj Pandit said the park has been constructed with the goal of promoting new tourism destinations in the district as per the District Divisional Forest Office's annual programme of building 'Green Park' at different places of the district.
The park has been constructed at a total cost of Rs 625,000. Of this amount, the Office contributed Rs 500,000 while the Barahi community forest Rs 125,000.
There is also plan for building a mini zoo and a picnic spot inside the park, Pandit said.
A green Park has also been constructed at Mohoriya of Bhimad Municipality-9 and at Simaltar of Byas Municipality-4 with support from the Office.
