Tibet quake : Man jumps from terrace in Kathmandu, 11 students faint in Bara

Students fainted in Bara due to the tremors of the earthquake. Adhikari said that 11 students studying in grade 7 and 8 of Shree 3 Chandra High School located in  Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-1 of Bara had fainted.

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: A person jumped from the terrace of a house in Kathmandu after being scared by the earthquake on Tuesday morning.


Bishwa Adhikari, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and spokesperson for Nepal Police said that a man who is a resident of Syuchatar, Nagarjuna Municipality-10, jumped off the terrace of his house. SSP Adhikari said that he is currently being treated at Manmohan Memorial Medical College and Teaching Hospital for injuries in both legs.

Similarly, the police station building in Sindhupalchok Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality-4 has been damaged. The earthquake damaged a shed in Ramechhap, while some uninhabited houses were damaged in Okhaldhunga and Solukhumbu, SSP Adhikari said.


Similarly, students fainted in Bara due to the tremors of the earthquake. Adhikari said that 11 students studying in grade 7 and 8 of Shree 3 Chandra High School located in  Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-1 of Bara had fainted.


The earthquake, with a magnitude of 7 on the Richter scale, struck Dinggyê County in Tibet, China.
