TIA security chief DIG Chand resigns

KATHMANDU, Feb 3: DIG Arjun Chand, Chief of Tribhuvan International Airport Security Office, has resigned.

KATHMANDU, Feb 3: DIG Arjun Chand, Chief of Tribhuvan International Airport Security Office, has resigned.


It is said that he resigned for personal reasons. Officials at the Nepal Police Headquarters said they are yet to receive formal notice about his resignation.

Chand assumed the role of airport security chief on April 26. He is batchmate of the current Inspector General of Police Basanta Kunwar.


If he had not resigned, he would have remained in the police service until Chaitra 2081 BS, thereby completing a service period of 30 years.
