Lightening kills one teenage boy in Bajura

BAJURA, March 17: One fourteen years old boy Sher Bahadur Karki, a resident of Himali Rural Municipality (formerly Sabik VDC), died and two sustained severe injuries when it thundered on Thursday night in Bajura.

BAJURA, March 17: A fourteen years old boy Sher Bahadur Karki, a resident of Himali Rural Municipality (formerly Sabik VDC), died and two sustained severe injuries when it lightening occurred Thursday night in Bajura.


The inhjured include Jhumkala Karki, aged 17 and Junu Karki, aged 10. Their hands and legs were burnt seriously, informed the information officer at District Police Office. He added that their health condition was in a critical condition. According to him, the police and the locals have rushed them to the primary health center located at Kolti

In addition, two oxen and one young goat have been killed by lightening. The lightening was so strong that a small current of  fire entered  the inside of the house by making a hole.    


Lightening occurred at a time when the Karki family members were going  to sleep.
