MORANG, Sept 21: Three women lost their lives to a fire that engulfed a house at Kanepokhari rural municipality-3, Harkapur of Morang.
The fire suddenly broke out the two-storied house of Chandra Bahadur Rai at 3.00 this morning and claimed the lives.
Three minors killed in fire
The deceased have been identified as Chandra Bahadur's mother Gangamaya Rai, 86, his wife Parbata Rai, 46, and his sister Bishnumaya Rai, 44.
Chandra Bahadur was also inside the house but his condition is still unknown, informed Sub-Inspector at Area Police Office, Pathari, Raj Kumar Basnet. The search for Rai is on, police said.
The fire was taken under control at 5.00 am with the help of three fire engines, locals and police.
Reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained and investigation into the incident is underway, police informed.(RSS)
