Baglung Mayor Basanta Kumar Shrestha stated that there is an agreement to complete the road construction by June 29, 2025. Blacktopping has started on an 8.6 km stretch from Mulpani to Titaure in Baglung Municipality-7, a 2.5 km stretch from Odarchaur to Dhodeni, and a 1.5 km stretch from Ganeshghumti to Nirayghat.

"The contractor has committed to completing the work within a year. These three roads, being built with the largest investment within the municipality, will further advance our journey towards prosperity," said Shrestha. "Only 17 municipalities across the country have received this grant. We have commenced the work ahead of all others in the country," he added.

Baglung Municipality Engineer Dipendra Bhandari stated that the blacktopping of the roads was initiated three years ago through the Urban Governance and Infrastructure Development Program of Baglung Municipality.

According to Bhandari, the roads will be 5.5 to 9 meters wide. The contractor will widen the roads, blacktop them, lay CRCP, construct drainage systems, build retaining walls, create sidewalks, construct causeways and culverts, and enhance the roads with furnishings and street lights.
