'Three months sufficient to draft statute'

NUWAKOT, Nov 29: Co-chairman of the Rastriya Janashakti Party Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani has said that constitution could be written in three months if the Maoist party pays attention to the constitution writing by abjuring the strategy of capturing the state power.



Talking to journalists on Tuesday, Dr Lohani reasoned that the constitution was drafted in three months in 2047 B.S and this time too it can be written if the parties were serious in this regard.[break]



He said the constitution will be drafted in three months if the Maoist party quits the strategy of one party system and joins the democratic system.



On the occasion, Lohani said the parties should go for either fresh elections or referendum if the new constitution was not written within six months.
