Three miscreants in police net

RAJBIRAJ, June 30: Three persons were arrested in Saptari district on charge of misbehaving with Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Nepal Police.



The police arrested Bharosi Mandal of Bhardaha-1, Koshi Barrage, Ameet Lagarbar of Trikole-3 and Santosh Sah of Portaha-6 for allegedly showing indecent manner to Eastern Regional DIG Upendra Kanta Aryal. [break]



Police nabbed them for arbitrarily collecting tax on the East-West Highway and misbehaving with the DIG from Porlha-6.



The miscreants were taken under control from barricade put in place at Porlha in Saptari for collecting import-export tax.



Police alleged that they have been unlawfully collecting such tax from the barricade, said DSP Shyam Singh Chaudhary.



However, proprietor of Krishna Construction Service Ras Lal Roy, who was awarded a contract for the collection of tax from the District Development Committee, complained that the police had framed his workers on false allegation.
