Three ministries, OPMCM shifted to safer locations

By No Author
KATHMANDU, May 18: Three ministries along with the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM) have been shifted to safer locations from Monday. The buildings where the ministries and OPMCM were located suffered damages in the recent major earthquake.

The shifting of the OPMCM to a building shared by the ministries of federal affairs and local development, replaced the Local Development Ministry to a building of Peace Ministry.

Now, the Peace Ministry shares the building with the Ministry of Law.

The ministries of law and peace have been placed at the same building as the same minister holds both the portfolios, said OPMCM Secretary Narayan Prasad Malego. Preparations were on to shift the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Office of the Water and Energy Commission and National Planning Commission to a building being used by the Department of Printing. Prior to this, the Ministry of Defense was moved to the Office of National Security Council. RSS
