Three killed in lightning in Gulmi

DHURKOT (Gulmi), May 11: Three people died and six others were injured by lightning at different places in Gulmi district Thursday night.



Those killed in the incident are 18-year-old Ram Bahadur Nepali and 20-year-old Sunil Nepali of Tamghas VDC-9 and 17-year-old Bhumkala Paudel of Harmichaur VDC-1. They died on the spot after being struck by lightning. [break]



Six people injured by lightning are undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Tamghas.



Meanwhile, a child died after he was struck by lightning at Keshavtar VDC-5 in Tanhun district last night. He is 15-year-old Shyam Bahadur Bhujel.



Seven people from the same village who were injured by lightning are undergoing treatment at the local sub-health post, it is learnt.
