PYUTHAN, may 10: Three members of a family were killed in a car accident in the district on Sunday morning. According to the police, the car (Ba 11 Cha 1053) returning to Dang from Swargadwari skidded off the road at Tiram-4 and fell into the Madi River.

According to the District Police Office, Pyuthan, the deceased are Rukesh Gaire, 40, Krishna Gaire, 65, and Tila Gaire, 60, of Lalmatiya-4 of Dang. Among the deceased, two were killed on the spot, while Tila breathed her last while being rushed to Pyuthan District Hospital.
Rukesh's 11-year-old daughter Miya has sustained minor injuries and is undergoing treatment at a health post in Devisthan.
