Janak Singh Thagunna, 30, Bhoj Singh Thagunna , 45, and Prem Singh Thagunna, 21, all of whom hail from Bishalpur-3 of Baitadi district, were arrested from a forest bordering Bhageshwor and Bagarkot of the district, police said. [break]
The Thagunna-trio had gone to the forest to hunt wild animals protected by the law. Police recovered three home-made guns and a dozen rounds of bullets from them.
They will be now charged under the arms and ammunitions act, Min Bahadur Rawal, the district police chief said. Further investigation into the case is underway.
