KATHMANDU, Oct 29: Three hospitals in Nepal, India and Pakistan have announced free surgeries under the aegis of SAARC Surgical Care Society.


The plan has been announced during a conference in Ludhiana on Sunday, President of SAARC Surgical Care Society and principal of Lahore Medical and Dental College, Dr A Majeed Chaudhary and laparoscopic surgeon Dr Arbar Ashraf Ali, jointly announced that plans are afoot to construct three hospitals, one each in Nepal, India and Pakistan where free surgeries would be conducted.

Elaborating on the initiative Chaudhary said, "Under SAARC this will be beneficial as each country is best in some field or the other."


Amid the tensions in the region, the organizers have expressed the project would strengthen the relationships among all the countries.
