NAWALPARASI, Oct 26: Nepal Police has held three persons and advanced investigations into their involvement in the killing of Ganesh Sahani of Palhinandan Rural Municipality in West Nawalparasi district.
Mayor held on murder charge
Naramdeshwor Chauhan, Omkar Pandey (Dinbandhu) and Janak Gurung of the same rural municipality were held for their alleged involvement in the murder of Sahani on October 22 near Bardaghat bridge in Pratappur Rural Municipality-4 in the district. Police said that an investigation in the case is ongoing by keeping them in police custody following the complaint by the Sahani family.
Meanwhile, a person was killed and two others were injured in a motorcycles collision incident at Kawasoti Muncipality-11 along the East West Highway in Nawalpur district on Thursday evening. Motorcyclist Menjan Gurau, 21, of Kawasoti Pithuwa died while receiving treatment. Similarly, motorcyclist Kasikraj Amatya, 20, and pillion rider Khimlal Kandel, 23, of Kawasoti-3 have sustained injuries, according to the police. RSS
