KATHMANDU, May 8: Three people were killed in separate road accidents in Sindhupalchok, Rupandehi and Tanahun districts on Tuesday night. Shur Bahadur Tamang, 65, of Indrawati-4 in Sindhupalchok died after falling off a running truck (Ba 4 Kha 7018) in Melamchi.
Tamang, who died on the spot, was returning home from attending a wedding ceremony. The truck driver was held and investigations were on, said the police. Likewise, a man was killed when a motorcycle (Lu 3 Pa 5001) he was riding crashed into a parked truck (Lu 1 Kha 9552) at Dangari along the Taulihawa-Maryadapur section of the road.

The dead has been identified as Bijendra Dhobi of Kapilvastu municipality-1. In Tanahun, a pedestrian died after being hit by Pokhara-bound microbus (Ba 2 Kha 5039) at Bandipur along the Prithvi Highway.
Thule Thapamagar, 82, of Bandipur rural municipality-5 died at a hospital in Kathmandu, said the police. The police have held the microbus driver and the microbus. RSS
