Three-day RTI training of Province 3 kicks off in Bhaktapur

KATHMANDU, May 24: Three-day provincial-level training related to right to information has begun in Bhaktapur of Province 3 from Thursday. 


A total of 23 information officers of different offices from Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, Rasuwa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts have been participating in the training organised by Freedom Forum with the support of USAID.

Chief Information Commissioner Krishna Hari Banskota, former President of Federation of Nepali Journalists Dharmendra Jha and Chief Executive of Freedom Forum Taranath Dahal would impart training on various issues including concept, principle aspect, constitutional and legal side and trend of right to information in the training. 


On the occasion, Program Coordinator Sanjiv Ghimire said that helping in building a rule of law responsible toward the people by building capacity of government bodies in management and dissemination of information was the main objective of the training. 


Earlier, such training was conducted at Dhangadhi of province no 7, Surkhet of province no 6 and Dang of province no 5. (Photo available)
