KATHMANDU, March 27: Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has claimed that there is nothing substantial against him in the complaints filed against him besides the fact that they mention my name.
He said, " Wherever my name is mentioned. There is nothing else besides my name. No signature, no thumb print. I have not submitted any application. Nor is the usual KYC form filled. I am not a defendant in a court case. I am not aware that my name is mentioned in the names of the defendants. Except for the police complaint registration, I have no other information.”
Home Minister Lamichhane faces accusations of receiving Rs 10 million from Sudarshan Cooperative and misappropriating funds from a cooperative of which he is not a member.
Members of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee raised questions about this issue in the meeting under the House of Representatives on Wednesday.
