Theft at village council office

SARLAHI, May 21: There has been a theft at the village council office of Chakraghatta Rural Municipality, Sarlahi.

A computer and a CCTV recorder were stolen from the office of the village council chairperson. According to the chairperson, Bikram Yadav, thieves broke into the office by breaking the padlocks on Saturday night. The authorities found out about the theft only on Sunday.

Other cases of theft were also reported at Jana Bikash Savings and Credit Co-operative Limited and a mobile store located near the village council office on the same night. Chairperson Yadav said that a computer and some cash were stolen from the co-operative while mobile sets worth Rs 200,000 were robbed from the mobile store.

District Police Office, Sarlahi has started investigation into the theft.
