KATHMANDU, Jan 13: National Assembly Member Bamdev Gautam has described CPN-UML Chairman Oli as the 'planner' of the recent political change, which he termed as “the great political quake”, and Prime Minister Dahal as the executor of the plan.
He made this statement in the National Assembly on Friday and said, “Prachanda (Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal) is the main character in this political quake. KP Oli is its main planner, creator and director”.
Gautam, who spoke from his seat due to health problems, termed the election alliances, power alliances and votes of confidence between political parties as “quakes”. He however said it was a wrong political exercise.
In the last local level elections, there was a tendency to go for re-elections by forming alliances. The election of 2017 was also held in the same way. This is the second incident in the House of Representatives elections. “To go to the election by forming an alliance and also to run the government. If that is the case, what difference does it make even if we form one party?” Gautam said, “People would not be able to distinguish which party works on the agenda, which party is right and which is wrong”.
He also congratulated Prime Minister Dahal. Gautam also thanked Nepali Congress Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba.
