TANAHUN, May 7: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that all political parties are committed to making the electoral alliance among the ruling coalition victorious in the upcoming local polls. The PM also said that the nation needs the alliance at the moment. 

Speaking at an election assembly in Damauli on Saturday, PM Deuba said that the coalition will be made successful.

He claimed that the NC-led alliance would last not only till the local elections but also till the provincial and federal elections.

Stating that a conspiracy was being hatched to break the alliance, PM Deuba said that such elements would be defeated through the elections. Deuba said that the only goal of the NC is to make the alliance a success. Prime Minister Deuba said that a few people had questioned if the local elections would even be held, adding that the country has become engrossed in elections. “Many people had the illusion that there would not be an election, but the country has set its full focus on polls at the moment,” PM Deuba said.

Adding that the people have become free from the rule of the Oli-led government, Deuba said that parliament was obstructed continuously during his tenure, disrupting the work of development.
