It is intended for use as a space for workshops, dissemination of artwork and ideas and as a site for artistic interactions, film screenings and performances.

The Live Art Hub is open to all artists who want to make use of the space.

The inauguration started with a speech from Lasanna’s chairperson, Dr Sanjeev Uprety, which was followed by a speech from the Danish Ambassador, HE Morten Jespersen.

The envoy, after his speech, distributed LAH Grants to the selected five attendees of Techne-kala, a workshop held by Lasanaa.

The works of these artists are scheduled to be exhibited in the final weeks of February.

The event progressed with two performance art pieces by Jupiter Pradhan and Saurganga Darshandhari.

“It seems like many forms of post-modernist art is moving out of the canvas and turning more dynamic,” says artist Chirag Bangdel. “The artists who performed today involved the audience along with so many other variables, like sound and smell, that the audience admiring the art pieces felt as if they were part of the art as well,” he adds.
