Tharuhat committee announces fresh stir

DANG, Oct 2: Tharuhat Joint Struggle Committee (TJSC) on Friday announced its fresh protest programs demanding implementation of the six-point agreement reached between the committee and the government on March 14.



Nepal Loktantrik Samajbadi Dal, Tharu Student Society, Tharu Women Society, Tharu Intellectuals´ Society and Tharu Artist Society have expressed support for the protests starting Saturday.



The government had expressed its commitment to address the concerns of several organizations representing Tharu and other indigenous communities following a 13-day agitation in March. Six members from agitating Tharu community were killed during the protests.
