Thamel XI win seven-a-side football

KATHMANDU, June20: Thamel XI clinched the title of Late Dr Harka Memorial Seven-a-Side Football Tournament held on Nepal Army Headquarters Football Ground, Bhadrakali on Saturday.



Thamel XI beat Seven a Side Federation Veteran Team, Pokhara 2-0. Ex-national player Narendra Shrestha scored both the goals for Thamel XI in the 35th and 47th minutes to take his goal tally in the tournament to highest 14 goals.



Sagar Gurung from Thamel XI was adjudged man of the match. Dipendra Manandhar of Casino Royal won the best player award while Norvic Hospital got the fair play award.
